Làmp Faal Kala (Ngoty Fall) holds a Master’s degree in English Language, Letters, and Civilizations with a specialization in African Literature and Civilization from Gaston Berger University, Senegal. He has spent fifteen years teaching English in public secondary education and currently serves as an adjunct Wolof instructor at the Department of African Languages and Cultures at Gaston Berger University. He is the author of the poetry collection Xelum Xalam (Ejo editions, 2020)
and the novel Tànn-béer (Ejo editions, 2022). In 2023, Senegal Njaay magazine recognized him as one of the 50 Key Literary Personalities in Senegal.
His translation work includes Following The Fish, a special issue of Quaderns that he rendered into Wolof for the « Catalonia in Venice » event (2020). He also co-authored Avoir encore 20 ans (2023) for the 20th anniversary of MEETING, published in Saint-Nazaire, France.
